The Fairfax County Board of Supervisors paid tribute to Edith P. Mayo, the Curator Emeritus of Political History at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History. She has devoted her career to making women’s history accessible to the public, ensuring that women receive balanced representation. She serves on Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Association’s (TPSMA) Honorary Board and is co-chair of TPSMA’s Interpretation and Design Committee that is developing historical content for the memorial’s 19 interactive stations.
There is no better way to celebrate this important month.
