Honorary Board Welcome Dinner

The Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Association welcomed new members of its Honorary Board with a visit to the future memorial site where they heard an overview of planned park enhancements and Prince William County development.  This was followed by dinner across the Occoquan River in the town of Occoquan where they heard talks on how they could help support the effort to raise funds for the memorial and other assistance. The Honorary Board, the Board of Directors, and special guests, were treated to a suffrage history lesson by Honorary Board member Edith Mayo about the uniqueness and significance of the suffragist group that went to prison at the D. C. Prison in Lorton, Va.  See Importance of this Memorial.  For the full list of Honorary Board members click here .
